Bench to honor Fletcher Merkel at Grass Lake

On Aug. 18, the Kenney community will come together to dedicate a bench on east side of Grass Lake in remembrance of Fletcher Merkel. “This bench will serve as a quiet, meaningful place to feel connected with Fletcher and remember the joy he brought to our lives and the love he had of the outdoors,” said organizers.

"If you would like to bring something special to leave with Fletcher on the bench, you are welcome to do so. All members of our neighborhood and community are invited. There will be a few words shared by our Kenny Neighborhood Association and our City Council
