Crews planted the first trees as part of the Kenilworth corridor landscaping work in Minneapolis. A variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses will be planted in the public right of way between West Lake Street and Bryn Mawr stations.
The Landscape plan was created in 2015 with community input as part of the design and engineering of the light rail project. The landscaping will improve the overall look and feel of the corridor while maintaining safety and accessibility.
