Honoring city staff for annunciation response

Posted

During a City Council meeting on Nov. 20, 2025, Minneapolis officials recognized the “hundreds, if not thousands” of people who responded to the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School on Aug. 27. The resolutions were authored by outgoing Ward 11 City Council member Emily Koski (front row, left) and specifically highlighted First Responders, 911 dispatchers, and staff from the health department, Neighborhood and Community Relations, City Communications, clerk’s office, Intergovernmental Relations, Minneapolis 311 and Emergency Management. They praised staff: “Whereas, in the aftermath of this devastating event, Minneapolis City departments responded with extraordinary professionalism, courage, urgency, and compassion by working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of victims, their families, and the community,” actions which “exemplify the highest standards of public service and reflect their unwavering commitment to protecting and supporting the people of Minneapolis.” (Photo courtesy of city of Minneapolis)
