“I can’t wait to go away,” Franz Gilbertson, owner of Good Times Pizza, said in between making pizzas and changing over vinyl records an hour before closing on Wednesday night, May 13, 2026.
An Instagram post from a realtor inside Good Times Pizza popped up in early May, causing some confusion with customers. Was he closing? Selling the pizza business?
Gilbertson said he is having an asset sale, selling all the equipment in the space. He doesn’t own the building.
The pizza shop isn’t closing soon, according to Gilbertson, but if someone walks in and wants to buy him out, he’s game.
“It could be a dildo store, it could be a coffee shop,” Gilbertson said.
A buyer can also continue the Good Times Pizza legacy.
“If people want to pay extra, he would sell the recipes,” Michelle Rapaich, who works the front counter, said. Rapaich said she hopes someone will buy the place and she can keep working there.
Good Time Pizza’s lease is up in 2028. It opened up in February 2020.
